pc (piazza tang)
Born and raised in southern China, PC uses bold strokes and brilliant colors to paint nature, wild life, and people she encounters in her travels across the globe.
Her style is a combination of realism, expressionism, and freestyle, and is best characterized as East meets West. PC was first exposed to painting at age 6 under the tutelage of her grandfather who excelled in LingNan School Chinese Painting. At age 9, she won prizes at regional youth art exhibitions.
As a young adult, she pursued textile design after she graduated from New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, and eventually returned to study Fine Arts after being a textile designer for almost a decade.
Aside from Chinese painting, PC is skilled at various paint mediums: watercolor, gouache, silk painting, oil, and acrylic. Most of her artwork has been auctioned and donated to support churches and raise funds for local causes. (James 1:17)
